One of the crucial frequent causes we don’t hear God on any sort of common foundation is as a result of we don’t “flip apart” from our day by day actions to listen to Him. Jeremiah prophesied it like this: “You’ll search Me and discover Me while you seek for Me with all of your coronary heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). The guts of the matter is basically the matter of the center. God needs us to worth our relationship with Him, not deal with Him like a cosmic bellhop or an informal good friend. If my good friend calls me, I may even see his title come up on my caller ID and suppose, I’m not within the temper to speak to him immediately. I’ll name him again later. But when the president of the US calls me, I’ll doubtless have fairly a distinct response to her or him. I like the best way Bobby Connor… explains the state of affairs: “We’re too conversant in the God we hardly know.”
